This guide walks through what to compare, which questions to ask at an open house, and where to check official rules, such as eligibility for English instruction.Clearway Kids lists 178 day camps on the Island of Montréal: 128 offered through borough programs on montreal.ca, and 50 certified by the Association des camps du Québec. Each listing shows its source and the date we checked it.
It depends on the camp: each borough and independent camp sets its own date. For summer 2026, the 32 opening dates we found ran from February 26, 2026 to April 15, 2026. Most camps haven't posted their 2027 dates yet; our registration dates page lists each date with its source as camps publish them.
Prices vary by camp, by program and by what's included, such as before- and after-care (service de garde) or meals. Each listing shows the weekly price the camp published and the season it applies to; if we haven't found one, you'll see "Not reported". Our camp cost guide explains what to budget for.
Day camp fees are among the expenses that can qualify for Québec's refundable tax credit for childcare expenses, and overnight camps can qualify up to a weekly maximum. Revenu Québec asks you to keep the RL-24 slip (Relevé 24) the camp gives you; receipts are no longer accepted except in certain cases. Whether you qualify depends on your situation and your child's age, so check Revenu Québec's page. Clearway Kids doesn't give tax advice.
