How to get a place: the Portail d'inscription

Places in CPEs and subsidized garderies are offered only through Québec's Portail d'inscription aux services de garde (formerly La Place 0-5). Clearway Kids can't add your child to a waiting list or change a rank.

La Place 0-5 closed on October 16, 2025. The Portail opened to parents in November 2025 and has been fully in service since December 1, 2025, when the rank indicator went live.

1. Sign in with your Service d'authentification gouvernementale account. You can create one through the Portail if you don't have one.
2. Register your child. Only children who are already born or newly adopted can be registered.
3. Choose the CPEs and subsidized garderies you want and give your desired start date.
4. When a place opens, the daycare offers it from its waiting list, ordered by priority categories and the desired start date, and contacts you directly.

For each CPE and subsidized garderie you chose, the Portail shows your child's approximate rank compared with children in the same age group. It's updated on the first day of each month.

Clearway Kids is an independent guide. We have no role in placement or rank, and no plan or payment changes either.
