About this list

Each listing comes from the Ministère de la Famille's official list and shows licensed places, infant places and, where the daycare's own website states them, ages and languages. Places in CPEs and subsidized garderies are offered through Québec's Portail d'inscription aux services de garde, not through Clearway Kids.

Questions parents ask

What's the difference between a CPE, a subsidized garderie and a non-subsidized garderie?

All three need a permit from the Ministère de la Famille. A CPE (centre de la petite enfance) is run by a board of directors on which at least two-thirds of the members are parents, and parents pay the reduced contribution. Garderies generally operate for profit: subsidized garderies offer reduced-contribution places, while non-subsidized garderies set their own fees.

How do I get a place in a CPE or a subsidized garderie?

Through Québec's Portail d'inscription aux services de garde (formerly La Place 0-5). You sign in with the Service d'authentification gouvernementale, register your child and choose the daycares you want. When a place opens, the daycare offers it from its waiting list, which is ordered by priority categories and your desired start date. The Portail shows your child's approximate rank at each CPE and subsidized garderie. Clearway Kids has no role in placement or rank.

How do I apply to a non-subsidized garderie?

Non-subsidized garderies use a different admission process and don't show a rank indicator on the Portail. Contact the daycare directly; its phone number and website are on its listing when we have them.

How much does daycare cost in Québec?

In a CPE or subsidized garderie, parents pay the reduced contribution set by the government: $9.65 a day in 2026, indexed every January 1. Non-subsidized garderies set their own fees, and those fees can qualify for Québec's refundable tax credit for childcare expenses.

Can I put my baby on a waiting list before birth?

No. On the Portail d'inscription aux services de garde, only children who are already born or newly adopted can be registered.

Where does this daycare information come from?

From the Ministère de la Famille's list of CPEs and garderies, published on Données Québec (data as of September 29, 2026). Ages, languages and websites come from each daycare's own site when it states them, with the source shown. Home daycares (milieu familial) aren't listed.

How we use your email

Yes, email me registration alerts from Clearway Kids when a camp I follow, or a camp in the area and age range I chose, publishes its registration dates. Camps that pay Clearway Kids for a Featured spot can appear in my alerts only if they match my choices, like any other camp, and are labelled Featured. Paying never adds a camp to my alerts or moves it up. I can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every alert or in Settings.

We show a date only after the camp publishes it, so we can't promise every camp's date will appear, or appear here first. Always confirm with the camp before registering.

We use your email only to send these registration alerts. Privacy policy
